Creating a Natural Contour with Seventeen

I have spent countless hours struggling with the 'to contour, or not to contour' debate. The thought of sacrificing an extra few minutes in bed to search for my cheek bones seemed not only unappealing, but incredibly daunting too! I'm sure I'm not the only person that is terrified by the idea of a six step contour? I'm not about that faffing life, so when I stumbled across the Seventeen Define and Conquer Contour Kit I was over the moon- finally, something that even my inexperienced self can manage! The team at Seventeen Cosmetics were kind enough to send me some products for review, and to my delight this compact contour kit was one of them.

With a simple three step process, you can create a subtle, natural looking contour that highlights the facial features and creates the appearance of cheekbones too, woo! Oh, and how cute is the mini guide? After applying your base, it's time to jump straight in with the contour; the darker of the two powders should be applied along the jawline, around the hairline, and into the hollows of the cheeks (note: fish face is not compulsory, but often unavoidable).

The next step is my favourite, highlight highlight highlight! The lighter powder should be applied to the centre of the forehead, chin and nose, as well as across the tops of the cheek bones- I find this to be much easier when a smaller brush is used. The third and final step is blending; this is probably the most important out of the three, as it can take you from looking scary to subtly chiselled in a matter of minutes. Take a large powder brush and blend to your hearts content. Who doesn't love making those cheek bones pop!?

And there you have it, it's as simple as one, two, three. If you're looking for a one product does it all kind of thing, look no further; and to top it off, it couldn't be more purse friendly if it tried! You can pick  up Seventeen's Define and Conquer Kit for £5.99 online at Boots.com, or why not take a special trip to your nearest store? Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

    1. I've never tried Elf products myself, but I've heard great things! I would definitely recommend Seventeen as an affordable alternative to higher end brands X
