Valentines Picks: For Her

As I'm sure many of you know (I'm sorry for those of you don't want to be reminded!) Valentines day is fast approaching; that means a lot of chocolate, balloons and loved up couples around every corner- not that I'm complaining, I'm a bit of an old romantic! I'm a sucker for any day that allows me to be super soppy and shower my other half with gestures that show just how special they are.

Some people spend a lot on Valentines Day, but we have both agreed that we have more important things to save our pennies for this year.. I'm excited to plan some mini breaks, as well as saving for some wardrobe staples that are a little on the pricier side! I have put together a gift guide 'for her' below, with a 'for him' post coming soon. I've focused on smaller items that people may not necessarily buy for themselves, as this is the sort of surprise that I would love! But don't forget, it's not all about your partners on Valentines day, why not treat your BFF to that little luxury they've been lusting after?

This Marks and Spencer bra is in the sale for £16, I've been crushin' on it ever since it arrived; I've also purchased it in a forest green (complete with matching pants!). There's something about Valentines day and new undies, whether you're showing them off to someone special, or keeping them under wraps, they're a must!

Another V-day essential is anything Lush; THE KISS lip scrub is very appropriate, providing some serious TLC. It works just the same as any of their other lip scrubs, buffing away dead cells leaving a silky smooth finish- so get ready to pucker up! Another from Lush, is the D'Fluff shaving soap; although I've never used this myself it has really good reviews, and if that wasn't enough, it's a rosy pink colour and smells like strawberries! Divine.

A few other bits that I've popped into my gift guide are A Pug's Guide to Dating (because who doesn't love pugs!?), the Real Techniques Duo Fibre Collection, the NARS lip gloss in the shade Chelsea Girls, and the Love Actually DVD- a romantic classic.

No matter what you decide to do for your loved ones, remember it's the thought that counts! In all honestly, there's nothing that I love more than some quality time spent doing absolutely nothing.. Heaven.
