My Gym Bag Essentials

Another exercise post- who even am I? As I've said before, I'm really getting into this exercising malarky and I've picked up some health and beauty related tips along the way- so naturally, I want to share them! Only recently have I felt it acceptable to write this post, as when I first started hitting the gym I did so with a semi made-up face, complete with touch-up products in reaching distance... but alas, those days are long gone. I've put together a list of my top NON BEAUTY products that have become a regular fixture in my gym bag.

Colab Active Dry Shampoo
Despite what you may think, dry shampoo isn't just for the sunnier months; it's become a real staple in my 'everyday' bag- and my gym bag is no exception! No longer do the 'no wash' hair days have to result in a hair-mare, or a not so subtle messy bun.. with a quick spritz and a tousle here and there, you're good to go! I've tried a variety of different dry shampoos, from high street to high end, but the Colab Active Dry Shampoo is a total game changer.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
Now this isn't always in my gym bag, but if I know that I'm heading somewhere straight afterwards then I'll pop it in for a bit of a facial refresh. It's so important to wash your face after exercising, as it removes any dirt from the surface of the skin, as well as preventing sweat and grime (yuck!) from clogging up your pores! If you've been following my blog for some time, you will know just how obsessed I am with the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish; I only started using it at the beginning of the year, but it has quickly become my one and only facial cleanser. Your skin feels fresh, clean, and super soft immediately after use!

LUSH: A Breath of Fresh Air
As I said before, washing your face is suuuper important once you've been to the gym, however sometimes I would much rather go home and cleanse in the comfort of my own bathroom. On these occasions, I give my skin a quick spritz of the LUSH Breath of Fresh Air facial mist and I'm good to go.

Invisibobbles
Yes, I have just chopped the majority of my hair off, but no, that does not mean that hair bobbles are any less essential when it comes to gymming it. If my hair isn't away from my face/neck/body when I'm working out I feel 100 times more gross.. need I mention the fact that sweaty hair stuck to the face isn't a good look? I've been using the Invisibobble hair bands for a good couple of years now, and I am yet to find something that provides even a similar standard of un-kinkiness.

FemFresh Daily Intimate Wash
If you've been reading my blog for some time, you will know that I don't shy away from talking about ladies and their private parts. Feminine hygiene is super important, so when I know that I'm going to be getting hot and sweaty, I like to make sure that I can clean myself up safely, with a product that isn't going to mess with my body's PH levels. If I can, I try and avoid showering at the gym.. there's something about communal nudity that I'm not 100% okay with, but sometimes it just has to be done.

Tangle Teezer
A solid favourite for many years now; the Tangle Teezer is the perfect handbag sized brush for frizzy, unmanageable hair like my own. Unlike many brushes that have failed me before, the bristles are firmly attached to the brush head, meaning that fallout is not an option, whether it is being used on wet or dry hair. Plus, how cute is the gold design!?

What are your gym bag essentials? I try to keep things as simple and streamlined as possible; nobody wants to be wasting time faffing when they could be out consuming that post exercise bacon-buttie! Am I right?
